With 18 years of active experience in travel and hospitality, Shdad began with educational trips for school students across Saudi Arabia. Over time, that foundation grew into a wider travel company shaped by curiosity, care, and local understanding.
Today, we create thoughtful journeys for guests who want to experience Saudi Arabia with honesty, depth, and a genuine sense of place.
The name Shdad refers to the traditional camel travel saddle. Historically, preparing the Shdad meant securing the necessary equipment and ensuring everything was in order before setting out. We use the name because it represents the simple necessity of being well-prepared for the journey ahead.
Shdad owns and operates an environment friendly and fully solar powered desert camp inside the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve — a protected natural area recognized for its landscape, ecological value, and heritage.
The camp is an active participant in the third edition of Al-Urumah Season — a program organized around the natural and cultural heritage of the Al-Urumah mountain range. The season focuses on sustainable eco-tourism, environmental awareness, conservation, and community development, consistent with the broader goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The camp is available for private stays, group programs, educational visits, and corporate retreats. It’s a setting that requires no embellishment. The landscape does the work.
